Job: A Masque for Dancing

Danced by the Spirits of Earth, Water and Air, Holst's ballet makes a magical opening to his opera The Perfect Fool, whilst Rachmaninoff's haunting Symphonic Dances were his stunningly scored final masterpiece. With its radiantly affirmative melodies inspired by William Blake's engravings, Job shows Vaughan Williams at his visionary best.
